BirdLife East Gippsland is a regional branch of BirdLife Australia, promoting the appreciation, understanding and conservation of birds and their habitats. The BirdLife East Gippsland region covers the East Gippsland and Wellington Shires in Victoria’s east, and includes some of the state’s most magnificent wilderness areas. As the BirdLife East Gippsland GLIBA Project to monitor the wetland birds of the Gippsland Lakes Key Biodiversity Area and Ramsar site enters its 10th year, a detailed report on the project for 2019 is finally available.
